The Ultimate Freediving Showdown Hits Capas!
The New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capas, Tarlac, is set to host the first National Freediving Pool Championship from September 29 to October 1, organized by the Association Internationale pour le Développement de l’Apnee (AIDA) Philippines.
The event, supported by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region, will see participation from freedivers across the country.
AIDA Philippines President Romar Acuña expressed his commitment to promoting and advancing freediving in the country, inspired by the talent displayed at the AIDA World Championship in South Korea.
The competition aims to not only break records but inspire future generations of Filipino freedivers.
The event also marks the New Clark City Aquatics Center’s expansion into hosting more water sports events, positioning it as a hub for pool freediving in the country.
